Light Malt Extract Powder(16oz)

A nutrient source for preparing mushroom culture media. Light malt extract supplies sugars and other nutrients that support mycelial growth in agar plates and liquid cultures.

• Purpose: Adds nutrition to culture media; unlike agar powder, it does not act as a gelling agent

• Applications: Ideal for malt extract agar, liquid culture solutions, and nutrient media for culture slants

• Use: Measure according to your chosen media recipe and dissolve in water. For solid media, combine with agar powder; for liquid cultures, omit the agar. Sterilize the prepared medium and allow it to cool before use, following the recipe’s preparation requirements.
